An Ode'n Organ tower.

The Organ is an Operation released in Preludes 13. Envoys must ascend the Ode'n Terraforming tower known as The Organ in order to thwart the ichorous operations of

Medis Gyon

.

There are currently three Organs on Midrath, each with their own separate Rewards pool and cooldown after being destroyed:

Each of the three Organs can be completed once every 3 Hours.

Mechanics

"Medis Gyon's great machine heaves the breath of life! Destroy The Organ before the atmosphere is filled with Ichor smoke."

The Organ may be picked up as a Votive objective, or simply approached to begin the operation.

• Approaching the Organ

Upon approach, the Envoy will hear the voice of Medis Gyon, and receive a notification that the operation has begun. If the Envoy is stealthy, however, then they have not yet been seen - and may be able to complete the majority of the next stage without being accosted.

Once the Envoy is detected by Sinecure, the Conductor of the Organ will begin to target them with lightning strikes from above. These will be denoted by a growing circular effect on the ground, and three organ notes; on the fourth note, the Organ will strike. Timing a dodge on this note will prevent all Damage, or the Envoy can escape the area of effect prior to the attack.

Ode'n Wagons

Amidst the surroundings are Ode'n Wagons which glow under Spectral Sight. When the Envoy is close to a wagon, the next Organ strike will target the wagon and begin to levitate it into the air. The wagon will explode when struck by the Organ, dealing significant damage to any Envoys or Sinecure within a few metres. These wagons do not seem to contain any loot, and are assumed to be only an environmental hazard.

Hidden Chest

Around the rear of the Organ is a grate at ground level, behind which lies an

Ode Chest

. Once the Organ's core is destroyed, by smashing the four rotating canisters, this chest may be accessed.

• Free your sludgey allies... And help them clog The Organ's vents

To enter the Organ, Envoys must first clog the four vents found around its exterior.

Rescue Beavers and Ducks from surrounding pools of

IchorIchor

by interacting with them - then attack the nearest vent to force it open. Freed Beavers will climb into accessible vents to clog the Organ's innards, and force it to seek another source of ventilation. Meanwhile, rescued Ducks will fly towards the peak of the Organ.

Once all vents are blocked, the main doorways of the Organ will open for ventilation - allowing Envoys to infiltrate and destroy the machinery within.

• Slay Banneret Sympos

Upon the Organ's opening,

Banneret Sympos

will emerge from its main entrance. This entrance can be identified by the railings on either side, which are not present on the other doorways. Sympos must be slain in order to ascend the Organ.

  • For stealthy Envoys, Sympos may be assassinated by hiding behind one of the facades either side of the doorway.

• Replace the Conductor at the Organ's Peak

The Conductor of the Organ, a variant of the Ode'n Starcaster.

Within the Organ, a rotating core can be seen with four glowing glass canisters. These may be destroyed to reveal the previously mentioned Hidden Chest, though are not required to complete the Organ.

Ascend the stairway and dispatch any remaining Sinecure, then pull the lever to call an elevator to the peak of the Organ. Hop on fast, as it will automatically rise a short moment after it reaches the bottom.

Within the topmost chamber, the Envoy will come across the Conductor of the Organ, a variant of the

Ode'n Starcaster

, being accosted by the Ducks rescued earlier. Approach and the ducks will disperse, allowing the Conductor to be slain.

  • In Co-op, after moving from one Envoy's world to another, an Envoy who was already at the top may wait there until the Banneret is slain, then attack the Conductor as soon as they spawn.

Replace the Conductor at the Organ's helm, and destroy the Organ using its own Voltaic power:

  • Input the three notes prompted by the circle around the crosshairs in order to fire a bolt of Voltaic energy at the glowing golden arteries of the Organ.
  • Keep an eye out for approaching Sinecure on the ground below, who will attempt to ascend the Organ and interrupt its new Conductor.
  • Interlopers may be struck using the Organ's power in order to slow their approach, or allied Envoys can help fend them off.
  • Should the conducting Envoy be attacked, they will be interrupted and must slay any attackers before beginning their song of sabotage once more.

Once all arteries have been destroyed, indicated by them being set alight with blue flame, the Envoy must escape the exploding Organ by using a nearby zipline or simply leaping to safety - as its twisted machinery falls into well-earnt ruin.

Lore

"The Organ eats brachial trees through its raging furnace, pumps Ichor through iron arteries, and huffs Tower Air from its singing pipe ventilators. Spewing black clouds into the atmosphere to make Alcan air breathable for the Ode… at great expense to its inventor, Medis Gyon. His lungs are poisoned by his work; the only cure is The Organ’s successful transplant."

A sickly Ode surgeon watches from above.

Medis Gyon

, plague doctor of the stars, oversees his grand operation from a Collector sickbed drifting overhead. Below him rises The Organ: a massive polluter machine built upon a Dendrit tower.

through iron arteries, and huffs Tower Air from its singing pipe ventilators. Spewing black clouds into the atmosphere to make Alcan air breathable for the Ode... at great expense to its inventor, Medis Gyon. His lungs are poisoned by his work; the only cure is The Organ’s successful transplant.

Envoys must find and destroy these machines across Midrath to let Alca breathe again.

Three Lore Notes are added to the Journal by destroying the three Organs:

The Organ immagine illustrativa di Soulframe Vurs Cycle XXIII:

Lord Synod asks why I do not wear my helm during planet-probes. Why I refuse to breathe through Medis Haltik's pathetic filters.
I said to him, "Lord, I believe no Ode should have to alter his biology to exist upon this hostile rock. Rather, the planet should alter its biology to suit us. With your support, I will build an Ode'n Organ that will do just that."
Operation begins today.

The Organ immagine illustrativa di Soulframe Vurs Cycle XVI:

The Organ arteries are proving… difficult. Medis Sangal has done an inadequate job implanting her Moaners into water sources. As a result, the ground-Ichor will not flow readily up through the Organ's pipes. As always, I must do what the other Medis cannot. The Organ requires power. A fuel of sorts… These Brachial Trees are the greatest source of untreated air, far too abundant in my lab. A little laudanum for the cough. Yes, a wood-fed engine for The Organ… A vulnerability that must be well guarded from the gruul.

The Organ immagine illustrativa di Soulframe Vurs Cycle X:

My condition has worsened far quicker than my studies indicated. My laudanum tinctures drain ever-quicker. My guards tell me I collapsed while installing my personal killswitch within The Organ's larynx chamber. They insisted I finish my operation from The Collector sickbed under Haltik's coward helm. It matters not. In a matter of days, The Organ will breathe her first breath. This dead planet's dead air will be filled with Ichor-smoke. We will breathe as we do in the towers of home. Synod will have me ascended at last.

Unlike many Notes, the player may select the Recall Memory button and observe a fully-voiced transmission of Medis Gyon recording his entries.
