Dendrit Language

The Dendrit Language is nearly synonymous with real-life English, using the same Latin alphabet and most of its lexicon. Members of the Silent Rose occasionally interject their speech with Scots words. Several unique terms and differences are listed below.

	Berine	Adjective. Quick and graceful as rainfall.
	Biscaker	Noun. One who eats biscakes; small, hard, unleavened bread rolls. Usually travellers.
	Corn-crossed	Adjective. Describing one engaged in a farmers rivalry. Scorn that often lasts generations.
	Crae	Noun pl. Small tears or dents torn into a page by one who writes too passionately.
	Crapaud	Noun. A greedy toad. One who keeps their dracs closely guarded.
	Dundrous	Adjective. Loud and repetitive. Specifically relating to the sound of falling rocks.
	Elendeer	Verb. To steal the elk's horns. To prepare oneself for future risks.
	Fletchen	Adjective. With an attraction to an impending wound, like a mosquito or a ready blade.
	Gelly	Noun. A blood-sucking swamp creature. Also a common insult for a boring conversationalists.
	Gloaming	Noun. A strong Dendrit liquor. 'Tis tradition to take a swig before battle.
	Illanfeoir	Noun. A blade of grass. The name given to the Dendrit weapon class to which Vetch belongs.
	Lealy	Adverb. With a true and accurate manner. Having the qualities of a perfectly cast fishing line.
	Lowrie-hook	Noun. A fishing lure made of foxtail fur. A danger disguised in beauty.

	Oronic	Adjective. Wise as the insightful Oro. Specifically relating to one with a perfect memory.
	Palamanian	Adjective. Vigorous as the beloved Palamine.*
	Shirenorn	Noun. A fallen antler made translucent by a process of heating and oiling. Thought to have grounding effect.
	Spade-a-breast	Adjective. As one buried with a spade on one's breast. The affliction of having found salvation too late.
	Triune	Noun. Three of a kind, the divine number.
	Verose	Adjective. Radiant as the enchanting Verus. Bright, and emanating a magick-like glow.
	Ward-water	Verb. To pour water skywards, to water the sky. Performing a useless, though impressive, task.
	Waulk	Verb. To rhythmically beat a fresh-woven fabric, oft to song. To make something both stronger, and more pliable.
	Yareful	Adjective. The feeling of capacity or even invincibility that one experiences after a good meal.
