Agari

The Agari are a class of Sub-boss who will respawn 30 minutes after their death. Whilst on cooldown they will appear as a greyed-out icon on the map, and the specific cooldown time for each Agari may be seen on their page.

To defeat the Agari during The Cogah game mode will reap even greater rewards, such as:

• Runes
• Lore Notes
• The Cogah Talismans

Upon death, an Agari's corpse will spur the growth of a ring of red mushrooms, and an

Agaric

at its center. This can be looted to obtain not just the Agaric itself, but also loot from the Agari's loot pool - which varies depending on whether the Envoy is currently in Cogah or non-Cogah game mode.

The

Agaric

fungus is said to corrupt the minds of those who consume it. The very first Agari were enemies of the ancient Fey; stupored, strengthened, marked for consumption - ill from gorging on Agaric.

Before the hunt, Fey warriors would drink a brew provided by their witches - an elixir of Agaric and

Wevetwood Sap

. Stupored and strengthened themselves, they would hunt down the Agari in what became The Cogah ritual.

As the Agari fell, they would complete their role in the cycle; their corpse feeding the earth, the Agaric, and by extent the Fey themselves. So too does this cycle continue on the isle of Midrath to this day - where even in the absence of the Fey, Envoys consume the

Cogah Elixir

and continue the ritual hunt of the Agari.

• The Agari respawn timer used to be 3 hours, until it was reduced to 30 minutes in Preludes 12: Thawtide.

Several bosses are also considered Agari by the game, despite not dropping Agaric. They are valid targets for the "Slay Agari" objective of Compendium of Foes, as well as Agari-related conditions in The Cogah such as increasing enemy level and The Cogah Talisman bonuses.

• Gourdo is not considered an Agari for these purposes when encountered within the Wevetwood and Sinkland Depths Neath'uns. They will still drop the same spoils as the regular Gourdo, including The Cogah-specific rewards.
• Mendicant King is not considered an Agari for these purposes when encountered within the Rovgot Ruins. They will still drop the same spoils as the regular (The) Mendicant King, including The Cogah-specific rewards.
