Rostrum
A ritual dagger of the Dendrit Thawtide tradition. Rostrum is a hunter's blade, named for the beak of the bird it protects. While most would have sheathed this Dagger as a Sidearm, the Longnight Elders wielded Rostrum as a favoured blade for close-quarters combat. 'Twas ill omened to end a life on the Longnight ‘fore Thawtide. Rostrum would only strike to defend the Cardinal flock, close enough to whisper passing rites to the one who dared endanger it.

Overview
Rostrum is a Short Blade of Dendrit design. It is the only Primary Short Blade in the game to use the Dagger moveset, as opposed to the Dual Blades moveset.

Trivia
- Rostrum was first released as part of the Thawtide Event alongside
Maestro, before being made obtainable outside the Event in Preludes 13.
- Prior to the Virtue Rework of Preludes 13, Rostrum scaled with Grace, requiring a minimum of 10.
- The official patch notes for Preludes 12: Thawtide revealed an earlier draft version of Rostrum's description, which never made it into the game:

'Tis the work of the young to find flowers in frost, and the work of the elders to slice out the seeds one by one. Only the finest of these befit the crimson beaks of Cardinals, for it is their work to wake the sun from the longest night of the year. And hungry work it is.
- Envoys with Fragments attained prior to Preludes 15 retained the ability to Craft Rostrum with Tuvalkane at the cost of the original Crafting Requirements

- Increased base damage
