Overview
The Paragon is a Greatsword contained in the Paragon Founders Collection.
Acquisition & Crafting
The Paragon is obtained immediately upon purchase of the Paragon Founders Collection, available in the Wares of Zenith.
There are future plans to add the ability for Founders to share Fragments of The Paragon Greatsword for Crafting by other players, but details for this have not been finalised by Digital Extremes.
Whilst The Paragon cannot yet be Crafted, Envoys who own it may Reforge it, requiring the following materials:
Passive
Pull Smites will grant The Paragon a bonus of 1.2x damage for the next Heavy Attack. This can be stacked up to three times, one for each Soul colour. After a valid Smite, the glowing gems slotted in the hilt can be used to track the currently stored bonus.
Lore
The Paragon was sung into existence by
Alora, the Fey Empress of Eldveil. It may once have belonged to
Tempest Bayor, owing to the inscription mentioned in its item description:
You are the second Envoy to wield it. The first etched a threat upon the blade: "Return to Bayor."
Another interpretation is that the blade was originally owned by a separate Envoy, who made this etching as a threat - the full context remains unknown for now.
Trivia
- Prior to the Virtues rework of Preludes 13, this weapon scaled with one of each Virtue, without any minimum requirement.

Update History
- Increased the recovery speed of the Greatswords’ sprinting attack.
- Added the ability to Refine with Tuvalkane, granting Tempers and an increased Craftwork
- Rewards resources upon Dismantling, dependant on the Craftwork and Origin
- Weapon art tree renamed from Greatsword to Heavy
- Fixed aerial attacks not dealing damage during the entire animation
- Improved the distance at which the running Heavy Attack hits enemies
