Sinecure hunters boast of Avex’s charged shot, powerful enough to puncture through a doe to kill the fawn behind her, with arrows so sturdy they are wielded as daggers.

Avex is a compound Bow of Ode'n design. Its powerful draw weight allows it to pierce through multiple Foes; and its firm arrows may be used as daggers with heavy melee strikes.

Moveset

The moveset of Avex differs from other bows, in that it bears a unique Heavy Attack combo consisting of two melee arrow thrusts. It cannot produce an Arrow Hail.

Avex's Charged Shots charge slower, but will pierce through Foes.

Despite being a 3-Star Weapon, Avex behaves like a 1/2-Star in that it drops as a fully-built item from the Drop Sources below. It does not have to be Crafted using Fragments like other 3-Star Weapons do.

Unlike other bows, the light at the nock of the arrow glows a pale orange rather than blue.

Despite being able to pierce through enemies and their armour, the Avex cannot pierce through objects such as Barrels.

The Torrent can trigger multiple times with piercing shots, once for each Foe hit.

With its original release in Preludes 13 Hotfix 5, the arrow was nocked backwards, with the arrowhead pointing towards the Envoy. This was amended in Hotfix 6.
