College of Pensives

The College of Pensives is a tower located in the southern region of Greater Curlail on the isle of Midrath. It is a spire-like college belonging to the Order of the Pensives, a group of scholars and philosophers.

• Upon first exploring the College, the Envoy can find Orlick the Bicameral in his chambers up the first flight of steps to begin The Last Pensive.

• The Mini-Quest Burning Sage can be initiated by reading a Note found on the third floor of the College.

• One of Avakot's guaranteed spawns for the Avakot's Gots store can be found in the orchard directly southeast of the College tower.

• Further east of the orchard, amidst the rocky crags, the Mini-Quest Runner of the Rose can be initiated by reading a note found beside a skeleton.

When the College was invaded by the Sinecure, they burned every single one of the historical books stored within. It is hinted by Orlick, however, that these words may yet live on in the smoke of the History Motes found throughout the isle, and that they may be recovered with the Envoy's help.^[1]

Initially, the location will be displayed as COLLEGE OF PENSIVES. You must find 5 History motes at the location to decipher the name. To get them all, you can either wait a full day/night cycle, relog, or go into a dungeon.

Dayn The Honourable Archsage leads the Twin Suns' prayer. Pensives' meditations begin at birdsong. Sage Balmus is excused to prepare young Pietre for Shelving rites.

Gale Prentice Mathilde holds the morning debates. Sage Rodrich brings his treatise "The Forest's Vast Voices" before the Archsage. Sage Orlick brings his treatise "Capricious Crops" before the Archsage.

Pencraft Aftsage Proctor performs the rite of ink. The quills are doled for Pencraft. The Knightmaiden Lady Cyrila of Curlail requests a scribe for a Salzbrim Port parlay.

Shelving Foresafe Liutfrid performs the rite of the Aurem Canus lantern lighting. Prentice Pietre forgoes the Pensive's Experimentum Crucis - and passes. Sage Rodrich's "The Forest's Vast Voices" earns the Aurem Canus' seal Sage Orlick's "Capricious Crops" is torn for trial on account of unsupported claims.

Astone The Grand hall is sealed for dusk. Prentice Pietre rings the silent bell. Quiet study commences.
