Oro is a Demigod in Soulframe. He is said to be the firstborn son of

, and is the namesake of Oro's Well upon the isle of Midrath - for it was only filled when Oro came upon it, dripping with the salt of the Eastern seas.^[1]

The first and eldest of Iridis’ children, the wise and insightful Oro was born half god, half sibyl. A sibyl is a sage or oracle, implying that the all-seeing Oro may be revered for his ability to see not only all that happens - but perhaps all that fate shall ordain.^[2]

Oro is said to be a constellation, similar to his siblings and fellow demigods;

When the moon still walked Alca as a man, he taught Oro to see Algamest’s great weave.^[2] All-seeing, old fables claim that barnacles act as Oro’s countless lidless eyes.^[3]

After the Fey’s magick well was dug by Iridis, they would sip it dry over an era of fervency. After which, Oro himself would arrive upon the well, dripping wet with waters of the Southern seas, and at last filling the well with water.^[4]

The Dendrit word 'Oronic' is derived from Oro's name. It is an adjective meaning "Wise as the insightful Oro. Specifically relating to one with a perfect memory."^[5]
