Napo "Fair Neck" Agnes was a legendary Cassid general who once marched against the Midrathian Fire King,

.

During the Cassid Occupation of Midrath, Napo found a fascination in the night sky. In his own words, Midrathian nights, unlike Cassid nights, are not "tainted by the ever-glow of the Borealis." Thus, he converted many Dendrit towers, such as Astrologer's Watch, into astrologists' chambers, filling them with experts from across the many Isles.

Agnes eventually met his reckoning at the blade of Fenn Jotar, in a fiery duel for Midrath's freedom.^[1]

• Despite being implied to lead the Cassid invasion around the year 401, he was only killed by Fenn Jotar in 603. It is unknown if he truly lived for so long, though such longevity is not unheard of.
