Mistress of the Thread

Mistress of the Thread is a Mini-Quest discovered by reading a note found in a house in Taughslane, a village near the northwestern coast of Midrath.

Completing the Mini-Quest will lead the Envoy to discover the Agari known as

.

• Location: Taughslane
• Trigger: Pick up and read a note within a house.

Travel to the village of Taughslane near the northwestern coast of Midrath. In the house along the east side of the main road, find and interact with a Note on a bookshelf. It has been left by an

, and reads as follows:

The old Gruul fancied herself a poet.

My Sinecure chased her off into the cave. Said by the sounds they heard, didn't need to chase her any further. We are ready, Lord, for our next target.

Just southeast of Taughslane's main gate, find a cave entrance and proceed out into a sunken ravine.

A great rumbling will be heard, along with the skittering screeches of

. Slay them all in order to proceed.

The skeleton of the poet can be found slumped against a tree in the center of the ravine, next to a boulder with a poem laid atop. Interact with the poem to discover her final words:

Return out of the cave by which you entered, and proceed southeast. Travel past a pond and up a hill, until coming across a vast sinkhole - this is the Sinkland Depths.

Peering over the cliff, one can see the distinctive orange-glowing carapaces of

in the depths below. Archers and mages may wish to dispatch these from above before descending. Find

on the eastern side of the depths, near an entrance to the Neath'uns. Slay her, though be wary of the additional Weavers and

she summons.

Once Etheldred has been slain, the Mini-Quest has been completed.

* Note - It is assumed that the in-game objective is a typo, and is supposed to read 'Slay Etheldred'.

Completing Mistress of the Thread will award the following:

• One Fragment of Bog & Myrtle

• 1 x Moranite

• 200 Dracs

The Envoy may also loot the

Agaric

mushroom grown from Etheldred's corpse to draw from her regular loot pool - a

may also appear across from her Neath'uns entrance.

Neither this Mini-Quest, nor the Notes gathered, will be recorded in the Journal; the notes may be re-read from their original locations, but will despawn after relogging. The Mini-Quest is not currently replayable.
