Saphene

Saphene refers both to Alca's blue second sun, and the Deity for which it was named. She is one of the three Celestial Deities of Alca, alongside her twin sun

, and the moon

.

Worship of Saphene is said to bestow one with the Virtue of Grace.

Whilst the red sun

burns brighter, Saphene flares thrice as hot. In Midrathian mythology, Mora is said to be the wife of Saphene; and they were once entwined in a planet-rending fight.^[1] The moon

is said to be their son, born before the onlooking Fey.^[2]

It is said that Saphene may have influenced the Fey to begin the Felling war, with a whispered word from her lips - but her reason for doing so is not yet known.^[3]
