A Birdie Flown

A Birdie Flown is a Mini-Quest in Soulframe. An angered Banneret encloses on Birdie's Bog, and the plea of one dreamer leads you on a chase where the trees yet glow.

An old Birdie dreams of a giant stag... be it fledgling memory or waking nightmare?

Overview

A Birdie Flown is a Mini-Quest located in Birdie's Bog that can be started from the Votive Shrine at the closest World Tree.

Completing the Mini-Quest will introduce the Envoy to a fearsome Vadagar beast known as the

Vadagar Stag

Location: Roods World Tree
Trigger: Interact with the Votive Shrine at the World Tree just to the east of Birdie's Bog.

Walkthrough

1. Beginning the Mini-Quest:

Travel to the World Tree just east of Birdie's Bog in western Midrath. Interact with the Votive Shrine to bring up a note - unsigned, but addressed to "Barti and Berta":

"Barti and Berta,

I know you're angry with me. An old woman prattling on about her silly dreams of giant stags. I am sorry for provoking the Banneret. Perhaps you're all right, this old Birdie has flown the coop at last.

I'm gone now to the place where the trees still glow. I know you'll not come looking."

2. Find Birdie in her bog.

The Envoy's Sparrow Guide leads them westward, to a raised hut deep within the Bog, close to the western shore. To reach the front door, use the tree roots on either side to climb up to the wooden platform. The door to Birdie's Hut may be interacted with to open it, revealing a cosy and well-lived space - but no sign of Birdie.

The Envoy turns to leave, but finds a Note attached to the wall on the left-hand side of the door:

I remember! By the Omen Stag I remember it all! A wee chicky, I was, growing up in this hut. Planting Molder by moonlight for
Garren's
spirit herd. My dreams are waking now. Though my sight is not what it was, I see the stag's shadow in the bog each night- and only at night! Once my reeds are grown tall and strong, I will go to him with my final offering... Hid it all these years and only now do I remember it was my mother's.

3. In the night, find Birdie's shadow stag.

In order to proceed, this location must be visited at Night.

The Envoy is directed to a spot in the northern region of the Bog, just east of the ancient Fey stones.

Upon reaching the area at nighttime, the Envoy is met with a Corrupted pool of bubbling

Ichor

. This is one of Midrath's Vadagar Pools, from which Vadagar beasts will spawn at night. Approach the pool and a

Vadagar Stag

will emerge, beginning a boss encounter.

4. Return to Birdie's Hut.

The Envoy returns southwest to Birdie's Hut, where they are greeted by a young Fawn next to the door. Note that whilst the Fawn will glow under Spectral Sight, it cannot be Charmed to obtain a Totem.

Upon approaching the Fawn, the Mini-Quest will be completed.
