Will-o-wing
Overview
Will-o-wings are nature sprites that resemble normal plants, often remaining passive until awoken. Found in small groups, they will chase after any Envoy who disturbs them, exploding in a burst of pollen for minor damage and annoyance if they get close enough.
They will not react to crouching players, and the large Will-o-wing at the group's centre can be sneakily plucked for a single
Will-o-bulb. Upon death, there is a chance they will drop a
Will-o-frond.
Location
Will-o-wings can be found all throughout the forests of Midrath, though they are relatively uncommon. For this reason it is not recommended to search for them specifically, but instead to keep an eye out for them whilst performing other activities such as foraging for Ingredients or carrying out Sparrow's Tales.

Lore
A distant relative to the Sproutfolk, Will-o-wings are a bane to farmers and foragers alike.[1] Carried by wind and whimsy, this sprightly plant drifts through Alca’s wilds with their fluttery, wing-like leaves.
It is recommended that the young sprouts be plucked to avoid them further growing and flying off on any unfortunate.[2]

Bugs
- Despite possessing a Journal entry, Will-o-wings die instantly upon hit and therefore cannot be directly Pull Smitten. This rendered their Journal entry incompletable for the entire duration of Preludes 14.
- However, with the addition of
Spreading Sploot in Preludes 15, they can now be indirectly smitten by luring other Foes towards them.
