Pact Arts

For Weapon Skill Trees, see Combat Arts.
Overview

Each Pact has its own Pact Arts tree, which includes:
Passive Abilities
Two Pact-specific Passive Abilities, unique to each pact.
From a grappling hook to sling towards enemies, to a great Omen Wolf who may fight by your side – when it pleases her, of course.
Virtue Bonuses
Three Virtue bonus nodes, which can change spots depending on the Pact.
These remain active whenever the Pact is equipped, and act independently to the base increase provided by the Pact to its aligned Virtue.
General Arts
Numerous non-moving and generalised Pact Arts within each tree.
These are standardised across all Pacts, unlike the Passive Abilities and Virtue nodes.
Each Pact provides 30 Pact Art Points once fully Leveled.
However, Wyld Pacts share the same Pact Arts tree as their base variant and may be mastered separately, providing additional Pact Arts and Mastery. This means that, for a Pact with a Wyld variant, a total of 60 Pact Arts may be allocated.
Passive Abilities and other Pact Arts are the same between the base and Wyld variants of each Pact.

Virtue Bonuses
The following Pact Arts may be ranked up two further times after unlocking, and provide a passive bonus to a Virtue of the Envoy's choice. Multiple Virtues may be specced into.
Each point allocated to a Virtue Bonus provides one Virtue Point, and the cost increases with each rank. Therefore, these Arts cost 1/3/6 points in total, and each increase their corresponding Virtue by 1/3/6 points in total as well.
Mora's Pride - A pact under the red sun. Gain Courage.
• Each point provides one Virtue point, so this Art provides up to 6 Courage.
Iridis' Favour - A pact under the green moon. Gain Spirit.
• Each point provides one Virtue point, so this Art provides up to 6 Spirit.
Saphene's Gift - A pact under the blue sun. Gain Grace.
• Each point provides one Virtue point, so this Art provides up to 6 Grace.
Trivia
- Prior to Preludes 13, Virtue Passives provided 1/3/6/10 points, for a total of 30 Virtue Points. This was decreased to 4 points per Virtue in Preludes 13, resulting in an overall reduction of 18 Virtue Points, from 30 down to 12. It was then increased to 6 points per Virtue in Preludes 13 Hotfix 5, for an overall 18 Virtue Points maximum.
General Arts
Each Pact Arts tree contains the same set of General Arts. These are standardised across all Pacts, unlike the Passive Abilities and Virtue Bonuses, and will always appear at the same node in each Pact Arts tree.
Forestall - "Cheat death once more. Gain a chance to survive where otherwise you would die."
- Not yet tested, but it is assumed Forestall provides an RNG chance for the Envoy to survive a would-be-lethal hit. It is not yet known what amount of Life they are saved with, or if there is any period of invulnerability involved.
- Forestall replaced Voided in Preludes 15.
Physic - "Survival graces the well-prepared. Increase the amount of Life Elixirs you can carry."
- Increases
Life Elixir capacity by one per point invested. - Physic replaced Healer in Preludes 15.
Rooted - "Grounded by pact, your defence against Stagger is heightened."
- Does not affect
Stability points, nor the damage dealt by the
Rump Thump of the
Bromius pact (whose damage is enhanced by Stability and other defences). - Reduces Stagger damage taken by approximately 50% at max rank.
Stalwart - "Stand tall. Gain a chance to resist being knocked down."
- Stalwart has not yet been tested. It may increase
Stability, or may simply provide a direct RNG chance to not incur knockdown when one otherwise would. - Stalwart replaced Sympathy in Preludes 15.
Wingspan - "When you fall, your Sparrow Soul has more time to return to your body."
- Increases time until a fallen Envoy is forcibly revived at a Revive Shrine by 7 / 14 seconds depending on points invested.
- It has not yet been tested whether this affects Cogah bleedout state in any way.
Passive Abilities
Passive Abilities are Pact-specific abilities which provide notable differences to combat encounters. Unlike Arcanics, these are not activated manually, but will instead always be present throughout gameplay should their respective Pact Art be unlocked.
