Pacts

Overview

Ode Tempest PactPacts are swappable pieces of equipment worn upon the Envoy's Fey-touched right arm. A starter Pact may be claimed during Rise, Envoy, but Envoys are not locked into their starting Pact, and may eventually collect all Pacts in the game.
They are the closest Soulframe offers to gameplay 'classes' - some Pacts provide powerful combat buffs like
, while others may focus on stealth and subterfuge like
. Each Pact lends power to the Envoy in various ways:
Arcanics
Punctuate combat with Arcanics – three powerful cooldown-based abilities channelled through the player's equipped Pact, each scaling from their associated Virtue. A list of every Arcanic ability in Soulframe is provided on the Abilities Tab.
Experience Passive Abilities unique to each Pact, available through its Pact Arts tree. From a
Virtues
Invest points into permanent boosts to Virtues of your choice, which remain active whenever the Pact is equipped.
Each Pact also offers a base increase to its aligned Virtue.
Similarly to Weapons, Pacts are primarily obtained via Crafting, and can be Leveled from Rank 0 to 30. Pacts in the Envoy's possession will consume Storage Capacity.
Customization
- The colour of the player's equipped Pact can be customized at Verminia, using any of the player's unlocked Palettes.
- Unlike Armour, Pacts cannot yet be transmogged - but Pact Transmog was confirmed as an upcoming feature in Devstream 10. It may take a different form to Bestitching, as it will be more 'special' and 'involved' versus Armour Bestitching.
Lore
Pacts are the essence of powerful individuals, bestowed upon one with a Fey-touched arm, such as Envoys. Pacts can be made with Fey, Omen Beasts, Deities, or even other Envoys. Once a Pact is made, it is unknown if there is a way for the granter to revoke it - as the Envoy can still use the
pact despite being cast from their ranks.
At least
one Mendicanthas been capable of draining an Envoy's Pact of its power, if only temporarily.
