Overview

Arena is a community term that refers to any Dungeon tile that spawns waves of Foes. It is commonly used by the community as a method to farm Mastery for their Pacts or Weapons.

The only currently functional Arena tile in the game is located in the Glades of Andurin, which spawns 20 waves of Mockeries.

Enemies will increase their level by 2 each wave, up to a maximum of level 60 on the 20th wave. On every 5th wave, Impidh Mockery will spawn in place of regular Mockery.

Mechanics

Initiating Arenas

Dungeons are semi-randomised with prebuilt tiles, and the specific Arena tile in the Glades of Andurin is a dead-end tile. It is not guaranteed that this tile will spawn, so leaving and re-entering the Dungeon to regenerate the instance may be necessary.

After discovering the Arena tile, players can initiate the Mockery spawns by interacting with the deer statue located in the middle of the room.

It is possible to join a party that has discovered an Arena tile but not yet activated it, and then immediately leave the party to create another instance of the Arena tile in the player's own session. This does not work once the Arena tile is activated.

Deactivating Arenas

Arena mode will end early if all players are dead and/or in the Nightfold. Co-op is therefore recommended to maximise use of the Arena, as a solo player cannot enter the Nightfold without ending the Arena.

There are a few safe AFK spots; such as on top of the lantern near the central statue. During Co-op, if at least one player AFKs in one of these spots, the Arena will continue despite other players' deaths or absence.

Upon defeating the 20th wave, the Arena has been completed, and no more Mockeries will spawn.

Trivia

Prior to Preludes 12: Thawtide, this mode used to be named Endless and would spawn waves of infinitely spawning Mockeries for the Envoy to level their equipment. Enemies would spawn in a 5-wave rotation of a random amount of enemies per wave, cycling over and over.

Prior to Preludes 9 Hotfix 6, a tile in the Dermak Undercity could be used to spawn endless waves of Sinecure. The tile can now be found guarded by dungeon Agari, though the Arena can no longer be activated.
- When this was functional, any kind of Sinecure could spawn, including the Bannerets.
